Metal / Death Metal
The living definition of death metal (Outburn), Brazils KRISIUN deliver AssassiNation, their sixth full-length release. The mighty metal brothers have returned with twelve smoldering tracks filled with death metals eternal fires. Pouring forth with ferocious vehemence, KRISIUNs incendiary new album incorporates moshable grooves without compromising their trademark skull-splitting intensity. Masters of their genre, KRISIUNs AssassiNation is a soul-scarring ride down Hells horrific highways.
Following their 2005 European summer tour, KRISIUN set forth to capture their raging live blasphemy within their new studio album. Invading Stage One Studios with producer Andy Classen (Rotting Christ, Dew-Scented), KRISIUN recorded their infuriated brilliance with clarity, precision, and depth heretofore unheard. Pummeling through opening track Bloodcraft, Maxs skull-splitting drumwork unrelentingly batters out powerfully vibrant rhythms. Interlocking guitar, drums, and bass combined with Alexs hell-spawned voice create Natural Genocides wickedly cohesive battle force. Lead guitar work accentuated throughout Refusal confirms Moyses place in death metals elite stringed assassins. Decimated, at just over four minutes, captures the bands traditional intense death metal sound and redelivers it with a newfound sense of rhythm and groove. A nod to the masters Motorhead, Sweet Revenge wraps up the album with a quick upper cut delivering you viciously laid out.
Released the same day as the new album, KRISIUNs first DVD, Live Armageddon, documents the bands decimating stage performance. The first segment was filmed in Poland at 2004s Metalmania Festival. Touring Europe with Morbid Angel at that time, the band performed the same super tight 9-song death sentence. Catching the enthusiastic crowds fervent response the footage documents the raging KRISIUN inspired moshpits. Recorded and delivered without wimpy overdubs, sound quality truly catches the bands high-spirited intensity. The DVD also includes 12 songs filmed in 2004 at a live show in KRISIUNs hometown, Sao Paolo, as well as three songs filmed by a German fan at 2001s Wacken Open Air Festival. Although raw the footage shows the bands aggressive performance and the huge earth-shaking moshpit they inspired.
