Koyi K Utho is a coldwave band (industrial metal or cyber core) borned in 1999 at Bogota, Colombia. Early in 2004 they realesed there first album called Mechanical Human Prototype, wich was selected by the local edition of the Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the top 50 cds made in 2004, besides giving them 4 out of posible 5 stars. By 2005 they became part of EMI Music and they released a special edition of this album wich conteins 16 songs, including a cover from Depeche Mode with the song Personal Jesus, 4 songs recorded live in 2004 as well as a multimedia. This band already has three videos (Personal Jesus, Freakman and Demential State) that are playing in MTV Latin America, Much Music (Bogota), Canal + 23 (Panama) and Puma TV (Venezuela). The band played four times in Rock al Parque (the biggest free rock festival in South America) and in 2004, in the 10 year aniversary of this festival Koyi K Utho was the colombian band selected to close one of the days of the festival in front of 60.000 people. This crowd gave them the Shock Award as Best Metal Band 2004 given by the readers of Shock Magazine as well as the Much Music Award for "Best Nu Metal Video 2005". Koyi K Utho has played with ANIMAL (Argentina), Cradle of Filth (UK), Timmy O Tool (Argentina), Muscaria (Ecuador), Candy66 (Venezuela), Carajo (Argentina), Resorte (Mexico), Eminence (Brasil), Catupecu Machu (Argentina), Molotov (Mxico), Robi Draco Rosa (Puerto Rico), Chaos Avatar (Venezuela) y Ely Guerra (Mxico); and from Colombia: 1280 Almas, Ultrageno, Sexy Death, Supervelcro, Superlitio, Hijos de la Crida, IRA, Odio a Botero, Raiz, Pornomotora, No Silence, among others. They have played in the most important cities of Colombia (Bogota, Ibague, Medellin, Cali, Villavicencio) and in Ecuador (Cuenca and Quito).
