Knock-Out is a three-piece band that delivers soulful tunes and a thrilling live show. Their sound, derived from the mid-90's rock/ska/punk fusion, is now complimented by entrancing reggae as well as blistering hip-hop and R&B.
In spring of 2004, Knock-Out recorded a 6-song demo with Eddie Casillas of Voodoo Glow Skulls at his Dog Run Studios. With burned CDs in hand, the band hit the streets promoting their songs all across Southern California, and playing every backyard party, bar, and venue they could sneak into. The demo was solid, and quite a few of the songs are still crowd favorites, including "One Day" and "Good Times." In late 2004 and early 2005, Knock-Out went back into the studio to record a full length. The songs from the demo were included, along with 10 other tracks, including a solo acoustic song, "Savior" by Jared.
On Julyof 2005 Knock-Out released their debut full length cd, "Let Go" and have played show after show to promote it. In June of 2006 they went on tour in support of Voodoo Glow Skulls, gaining many fans up and down the California coast. Since then, they have kept themselves busy with tour dates and the local circuit. If you havn't gotten your copy yet you can get it at any of our shows or at: CD World in Riverside, Local Threads, Sounds Like... in Riverside, and Mad Platter in Riverside.
Currently recording a new album, Knock-Out is fusing together more styles than they can correctly pronounce. Soul, rock, two-step, reggae, punk, hardcore, hip-hop, and some good old slow dance music, you know, the shit you used to grab ass to at prom. Who rocks the music, who rocks the soul?
