KNIVES BIO
Weaving intricate Iron Maiden-esque guitar runs with the sort of hulking great walls of death metal meets hardcore chuggery, Greensboro outfit Knives Exchanging Hands are the latest bunch of reprobates to take the still healthy metalcore scene and push it to new limits. Formed in late 2004, the band are now signed to Tragic Records with the first fruits of the partnership being their new album, HIATUS, which hit stores on July 10th. Three years in the making, the band have created a sound that is equal parts beauty and brute force. Sledgehammer heavy carnage combines with epic soundscapes as the five piece deliver a sound that promises to cover all extreme music bases. To all those doubters who think the well of quality of new metal bands is running dry, time to think again as Knives Exchanging Hands intend to shake those thoughts right out of your head. HIATUS is out now on Tragic Hero Records.
