With a New Amsterdam's quote, and sense of relief, Steve Astra ended Aeorta Suture. Turning his attention to the up and coming scene of country western, singer/ song-writer Astra penned 5 songs within days of A/S's last show, and within weeks came out with these preliminary recordings. Astra goes under the name of Knifework and keeps a constantly circulating roster of members. Recorded in Harmon Studios with Chris Harmon, "Charleston Boogey Ain't Shit to This" was recored live, on tape, and mixed with a 4 track before it were converted to digital format. With this move Astra gives a nod to past preformers like Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and most Rock and Roll forerunners, as well as keeping company with contemporary preformers such as Ben Kweller, and Adam Lee.
