KINCH'S debut album, ADVANCES, was named "Arizona's best album of the year" by The Phoenix New Times

Phoenix-natives KINCH have been touring across the country since 2007. However, Andrew (piano/guitar/vox), Brian (guitar), and Jake (drums), have been playing together for much longer -- maybe even since they were 14 years old, but it's hard to remember the beginning of those teen years once you hit your early 20s. Meanwhile, Bryan (bass) just started playing ealier today.

"The Economic Chastisement" EP -- Kinch's follow up to 2007's "Advances" -- was recorded over two days in November of 2008, at a friend's house in Austin, Texas and is what you are now about to experience.

Other than that, the most important things you should know about Kinch include, but are not limited to the following:

Talents and skills:
- The band name comes from "Ulysses" by James Joyce, which they've all claimed to have read and understand completely. Most of their friends, however, don't believe that is completely true.
- The band is mostly monolingual, except for Bryan, who can speak Spanish.
- The other Brian plays guitar right handed, but does everything else with his eyelids.
- Andrew has taken the Myers-Briggs test and is INFP.
- Jake is probably not skilled or talented in any way.

Likes and dislikes:
- When it comes to touring they've developed a certain affinity for Kansas City, but think that most cities are very nice.
- Well, most cities, except Barstow, CA, which they now refer to as "Barfblow." They recogonize that reading their nickname is not as fun as actually saying it.
- Kinch thinks that Salt Lick has the best brisket in the world. Except for Brian, he thinks the best brisket is at Houston's, but he's a snob.

Kinch thinks you should know that girl from "Twilight" was also in a Lifetime original movie called "Speak."
