A review of Kids With Cannons as according to V.Ryall ONO, PHD (One Night Only Reviewing Agency):
"Kids With Cannons, aren't children or goats. KWC are a self-titled 'chavcore'/upbeat punk/post hard-core band from South London leading a revolution, a Reebok Revolution. Chavs are now using guitars as instruments, not weapons.
I saw KWC playing a gig at Infernos in Welling courtesy of Black Tie Promotions. KWC were the valium of the evening, playing alongside metalcore and scene bands. Their songs are edgy and optimistic at the same time, combining melodic vocals, ridiculously tight drumming, alternative backing vocals and indie style riffs. Lead singer Rhys is arrogant and charming, yellow isn't his colour and he can't catch a flying ashtray but, he is a frontman worthy of NME hype.
A set that sounded like a CD being played back, they are influenced by bands who have had great success without self-pity and misery. Full of energy and balls, KWC move the audience like they're on a merry-go-round. With intros reminiscent of Muse, vocals from London and a sound that reminds me of Taking Back Sunday, KWC have taken bits and pieces and made Chavcore. KWC's set included a cover of Black Eyed Peas 'Where is the Love?'. Never has 'people killin, people dyin, children hurtin, and children cryin' sounded so enjoyable.
KWC say they are influenced by nuclear war and angry kids. If that were the case I think they would sound awful (and messy). KWC are attempting to put a smile on the faces of the Myspace generation... one down 136597265 to go."
CHAVS + PUNK - ASHTRAYS = Kids With Cannons

A review of the track "All You Need to...No!" by Swagbag Records:
"...blending gritty guitar lines and powerful screams with harmonious melodies and smooth riffs, fused together with a slick and tight rhythm section...this track definitely jumps out and pulls the listener in...and the uniquely English vocals are a breath of fresh air in an age of wannabe American bands..."
A review of KWC at the Royal Victoria and Bull as according to Rock Matrix Promotion Agency:
"The rough-on-edge style of Kids With Cannons transports you back to the sounds of melodic post hardcore, combined with a strong punk influence. Opening with 'Bloody Mess', a frenetic and punchy number, KWC set the scene for their energetic set. A distinct version of 'Where is the Love?' got people turning heads. The barking vocals from their drummer Dan, echoing Rhys, curiously worked well for this band solely due to their impressive raw sound. Closing their relentless set with 'All You Need to...No!' they earned a good reception. Kids With Cannons, although only having been together (with their new line-up) for a few weeks, gave a promising set, and have the originality to go further."
