Thanks for checking out the Kandahar Guitar Society page. The purpose of this page is to let you hear some of our music and learn more about the band.

Kandahar Guitar Society (KGS) is John Williams and Mike Maloney. Mike plays drums on all of the songs, and John plays guitars and contributes vocals. Their latest album, Give War A Chance, was recorded in late-2006/early-2007 at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania in John's home studio. The eleven songs on the album were written by John over a period of years, and three of the songs appeared on the first Kandahar Guitar Society album recorded in 2005 in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Our album and some killer T-Shirts are available at www.cafepress.com/kgsociety, and we invite you to help support KGS as we record more music.

The album has eleven songs with a total run time of approximately 55 minutes. The songs are:

Wings of Destiny
Unconfirmed Kill
Last in Line
Standing on the Edge
Showdown
Nothing to Say
Last Days
Arabian Sun
One More Mile
Backs to the Wall
Sands of Time

We invite you to check out John's guitar site,
www.guitarattack.com, and keep checking back for more news on KGS.

John, I was at the Rob Mabry memorial concert and finally had the privilege of getting to see you play. I have been friends with Craig Deloach and Chad Selby for around 20 years and have heard them mention you several times. I got to know Robert when he was singing with the Sons of Oedipus and did some pressure cleaning work with he and Chad over the next few years. I understand that you are a Colonel in the Army find it amazing that someone so focused in their career can be such an accomplished musician. Anyway, it was a pleasure to get to see you play. My wife and I really enjoyed the show. Craig said you were trying to get back to TN so hopefully I will get to see you play again. Nov 29
