"Kaiser and the Hoagies" began in drummer Jimmy Dugan's basement in the summer of 2005. They then called themselves "Big Dill." Basically just a crappy jam band, they consisted of guitarists Aaron Weber and Hayden Whyard--and Dugan himself.
The band became complete in early 2007 with the addition of Italian bassist Nelson Jancaterino. With his insane on-stage antics and love to jam, he was a perfect fit. He, along with pleasantly plump guitarrist Aaron Weber, fabricate a beautiful on-stage contrast to the near-anorexic Hayden Whyard and Jimmy Dugan.
Today the four jam out to both original and cover songs, including Guns N' Roses, Goldfinger, Blink 182, 3 Doors Down, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Augustana, and many more.
They record using the internal mic on their eMac and Garageband. But, they do what they can. So turn up your speakers, take off your clothes and dance with your pet snake and or tarantula.
Also, to answer some questions:
The name "Kaiser and the Hoagies" is a tribute to classmate Charles Kaiser--a true visionary and a nice guy. Don't question it. We know it sounds gay now, but just wait.
