K626 is a metal band from the mountains of California. The members consist of Brent Wisdom on guitars, Joe Downard on drums, Christopher Skary on vocals and Dan Dowell on bass.
Established in 1994, they hit the local area hard. They crushed the scene with their unique style of metal and played shows throughout the Inland Empire with monsters like Obituary and Machine Head. They split and reformed again in 2006 and recorded a couple of EPâs. They stepped it up in 2008 with the release of 'Seven Deadly' which they recorded and self produced. Not long after 'Seven Deadly' was released, they ventured into producing a video for 'Lord of Maggots' the opening track off the new album.
The name K626 was taken from the great Amadeus Mozart and his final concerto. The band is inspired by musicians like Sepultura, Obituary, Death, Pantera, Devil Driver, Slayer, Lamb of God, and Amon Amarth, aggressive and in your face.
K626 members are uniquely creative in every aspect of their live show and recorded albums. With a realization that they have to bring something different to the stage, they donât disappoint. These guys along with their crew are masters of music, dominating metal performances.
K626 has played a number of venues with bands such as Godsmack, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Drowning Pool, Ankla, Sworn Enemy, Warbringer, Saliva, All That Remains, Taproot and Sevendust. They have air play on XM Liquid Metal, Metal Head radio, 1.FM High Voltage, Autopsy Report Radio, Metal X, Thrashman Metal Radio, Green Man Radio. They are featured in magazines such as Revolver, Metal Edge, Revolver Legendâs, Muen and were voted #1 on College New Music Weekly.com. They have interviews with Metal Sanaz, the Metal Scene T.V. Show on Time Warner Cable, Metal Monthly, Fuse Internet Magazine, I.E. Weekly, and more.
The K626âs team is working on acquiring endorsements, internet radio airplay, magazine ads, consistent concert dates, meeting new investors and publicists, and pushing merchandise.
In 2009 K626 will release a new album, âThe Gates of the Necropolisâ and will also be working on a new music video.
Investing much time and cash into their passion for metal music, K626 works constantly on perfecting their music and live show. They are plowing through the states and around the world.
