From Port Huron, Mich., comes the alterna-folky-acousti-core of Juxtaposers. Sharing songwriting duties and switching instruments (and hats) every 2.7 minutes, Bill Chapin and Ryan McInnis craft mopey ballads and goofy singalongs the whole family can enjoy ... as long as they don't mind the occasional naughty word. Since meeting at the open-mic nights sponsored by the Lexington, Mich.-based Bluewater Folk Society, the duo has been joined by Nathan "Explosion" Dauphinais on drums and Jim "Sweet Papa Jimmy" Smith, whose Dobro adds a welcome dash of twang. Sometimes they are joined by Amy Proctor on bass to form the entity known as TumbleHome.
