Assisting at a recording session for one of her biggest influences, Julie realized she had virtually no recorded material of her own. She decided to record her first single with producer Guy Parker whom she worked for at the time. In a strange twist, she hired her boss and is currently working with Guy on her EP.
Julie's first single Tonight has been recognized as a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the electronic category. It is also receiving airplay on various streaming online radio stations on live365.com.
Julie has been selected to be featured in an upcoming edition of Skopemag.com's Artists to Watch.
Tonight has been featured as Track of the Day & Track of the Week in the electronic & electronica categories. It has also been among various weekly reviewers' picks in electronic, including best female vocals, best programming, best production, best mood and most original.
Julie received an honorable mention in the 16th Annual Billboard World Song Contest for her song Nothing. It was also recognized as Track of the Day and among weekly reviewers' picks in the electronic category on Garageband.com, including best female vocals, best keyboards and most original.
