New Member: Evan Burk - Guitar and Vocals

Well we've been working on our new set for sometime and we finally have it ready to release at shows. Of course we wont be getting into the studio untill early next year, but we're excited to show you our new work at the next show. Lately we have been getting together and discussing the future of Jubal and we've decided that we're going to make a few changes. As our tastes are changing concerning different types of music, we are being influenced differently than we were in the past. For example, we have decided that we are going to steer clear of the classic "Screamo" or "Hardcore" genre that is oh so popular right now. Instead we're going to attack our music from more of a rock style perspective. When we actually thought about it, we realized that we were no different from the next band, so we've decided to change our sound almost completely. We're giving Nick the chance to explore his vocal range alot more but minimizing the screaming he is doing. Now this does not mean we're turning soft on you, it just means we're going to try and make our music more technical in every aspect. We're thinking of adding different genres together such as blues or jazz into our own music, just to see what it sounds like. So in a way we are becoming more of a progressive band, and we are really excited for what the future holds in store. We will be writing like crazy for the next few months and hopefully have some of the new sound to you by next year. In the mean time, come and check out any local venues we're playing at and come talk to us afterwards if you have any comments or advice. Word
