from me to Him

It is amazing to me that you would want my company. It is something of a mystery to me to know that you know me, all of me, yet still love me, all of me. Today I felt so alive due to you. I always seem to feel more and more each day. Whether it be the wind rustling through the leaves, or a childs laughter echoing through the air, I find you. You are not hidden from us; we are just horrible seekers; when it comes to you that is. Seeking self is a gift that the entire human race has. When will we learn that pleasure has no resonance without you. When will we see that peace transcends nothing without you. It wont be long Im sure; until the day when all this is but a mere memory, a memory that we will never be able to remember. I hope you recognize your people when you come again. I hope I am ready to willingly bow my knee of loyalty. Truth is Im a traitor. One convicted of mutiny and treachery right before the eyes of my King. Forgive me for being all that I am. Find something in me that reminds you of your son, the one who I try so hard to look like. He set the bar pretty high you know; him being perfect and all. No matter where I turn I find my imperfections starting at me, mocking me even; telling me that I have no chance so it is better that I just give up now. Trouble with me is that I cant give up. I have been ruined and I have no where else to go. I am part of a family now that I never wish to leave. So my hope is that I would find some help in this place of adoption. Some form of refuge and solace in a world that offers very little of either. I do not wish to find pity, but rather mercy mixed with grace. Thank you for finding me, for loving me, and for performing the endless job of renewing me. I appreciate your company, all the while not understanding why you would want mine.
