Joseph Shih is a young artists in the colorful area of Seattle, Washington. Contrasting to east coast artists and bands, Joe's northwest influences and origins are shown through his laid back personality in music.

Joe started in music very early ranging from piano to violin training. His career in music began when he co-founded the young high school hip/hop group Super Fly Inc. He later parted with them and found himself immersed in the pop/rock genre as front man singer/songwriter of the band One Leap.

The popularity of One Leap grew in Joe's senior year of high school throughout the third floor halls of Franklin as One Leap's "2am" song became a favorite of friends and fans. Soon everyone who had heard of the band fell in love. Just before graduation, One Leap performed two concerts and was the opening acts for other various events. As Joe left his high school with the rest of his graduating class of 2005, he also parted with the band to pursue his own solo music endeavor where the constraints of a band are not present. It wasn't until nearly a year later before the band actually withered away as One Leap did still perform about a couple of small performances that the band, including Joe, still deny ever happening due to the fact that theyâ€”for a lack of better wordâ€”sucked.

In early 2006, Joseph Shih announced that he had moved on and intends to release an album later this year. With this announcement he began work. Taking retrospect on earlier years, he found that the inspirations and motivations of his previous years had somehow leaked into his new material. Accepting this, Joe continues to write and look to the present with the past in mind.
