In today's vast musical landscape, many bands claim to fuse both melody and noise to make their 'own sound'. While the components may exist, many of these bands seem to fall short. Jonathan, Brave the Rifle, however - does not.

Having gone through numerous member changes and various sonic shifts, Jonathan, Brave the Rifle has always tried to balance harmony and dissonance; and while such terms have long been reduced to nothing more than buzzwords - it very accurately describes Jonathan, Brave the Rifle's sound.

Admittedly, they are not the first band to take their sound in such a direction, nor will they be the last. "We aren't reinventing the wheel, but we are pushing ourselves to create new and interesting music."

Or at least they were.

For the past year and a half - Jonathan, Brave the Rifle has lay dormant, and just as many thought the band was as good as dead, JBTR has reserected itself from its grave. With a newfound life and focus, the band has returned louder and more maniacal than ever before.

With an EP due out this Summer - the first new release in almost two years - one can be assured that Jonathan, Brave the Rifle has once again reared its ugly head, and what many considered to be the band's end, is only the beginning.
