Band Name: Jonas Day now, Previously we were known as: Shakespeare Theory, Phileho, Cellar Door, Dawson Ludwig, Atlas Shrugged, Delphi, Marcus Edward, Burnt Water, Doppler Effect, Blake Stein, Tangerine, Jacaranda, The Tim Smith Band, Less Than Or Equal To, November, and Jonas.

Significance of Name: Jonas is the son of Daniel Smith (Mark and Tim's brother) and Megan Stein Smith (Blake's Sister). He is refereed to as the "Nephew." The day he was born (June 23st 2002)also marks the beginning of our musical pursuit.

How long have you been a band: 3 years unofficially and 2 years official.

Place of origin: Palm Desert Ca.

How you all met: We have all known each other since Jr. High, and then became good friends in High School. During our last few years we began jamming on guitar and arguing about a band name.

Purpose of the band: To make good music
