It was kind of calm but uplifting, traditional but with feeling, at times a little new age. Overall, nice work. Good choice of hymns and songs.
-Review of Recent CD By The Sea Side
Hey, my name's John Wiley. I play a lot of piano and guitar. Recently I've been learning the mandolin and ocarina pretty regularly, and once every few days I'll play the harmonica, fife, or the recorder. I make a lot of home recordings, as well as podcasts/voice segments for other things. I use a Line 6 Toneport UX2, with a Shure SM 57, MXL 990, and MXL 991 with my recordings, however the songs for Beneath our Feet were created all digitally with loops. I've created a full length Christmas album, 2 promo CD's, and a podcast for Bible Quizzing, (email me for more details). I'm still distributing a CD titled By The Sea Side. Mean while here are a couple of inspirations, just to kind of get a feeling of what kind of music I try to blend together to create my songs.
-God, and His Word the Bible, the reason I make music.
-Mark Hall and the rest of Casting Crowns
-Great Hymn writers:Charles Wesley, Fanny Crosby, Martin Luther, and many others
-Nobuo Uematsu, his music is outstanding from the Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and some other games from Square-Enix.
-Andy Mckee, he's my favorite guitarist
-Other guitarists such as Michael Hedges, Pierre Bensusan, Alex De Grassi, and many other musicians from the Windham Hill Record Company.
-Sufjan Stevens, Mannheim Steamroller, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Outlasting the Night, Michael W Smith, and many others have produced some really good Christmas/acoustic music
Hope You like the music. If you wanna get in touch with me, contact me by email. I'd love to hear how you like my songs
I got a little facebook musician page too
