John started his musical journey in church as a choirboy in Baltimore, Md. He performed solo concerts for the church, and soon after that he put together a band at the age of 10. By the time he was in high school, he was popular in the local club scene in the Baltimore, Washington DC area. He started to write deep rooted soulful songs with a southern rock influence. At 19 he moved to Florida to go to college, where he played all the alternative clubs and was the local opener for Dave Matthews, Blackfoot, and Jason Mraz. John has opened for bands of all genres just to get his music heard. After receiving a B.F.A. in acting and winning numerous awards, he moved on to pursue his music career in Los Angeles. John was in LA for only 2 weeks in 2005 and he was already playing every club in town. John performed on a 4-week national tour with Sophie B Hawkins, and has done shows with The Shore and La Guns. John has just finished a five week national tour playing with Southern Rock guru Spike Loudermilk on lead guitar.
