THE STORY SO FAR...

Singer/songwriter Joal Kamps has accomplished a lot in under three years: he's written, recorded, produced, and released three studio albums; completed numerous tours across Western Canada; and has performed at music festivals and conferences in the United States, Europe and Canada - all as an independent self-taught artist no less!

Before his career in music, Kamps spent four years traveling around the world in search of adventure and the ever-elusive self. Perhaps that's what makes his songs resonate with the sojourner in all of us. By blending storytelling with songwriting, Joal creates music that is described as 'Rocky Mountain folk-pop'.

Earlier this year Joal Kamps released his third album Sojourner (2011), which has received extremely positive reviews from critics and peers alike. Sojourner is currently receiving airplay on campus and community radio stations across Canada and follows close on the heels of previous releases, the RED e.p. (2009) and Waiting (2008) - all of which are available for purchase online and at concerts.

Joal Kamps currently resides in Calgary, Alberta, Canada - just east of the Rocky Mountains, where he finds inspiration for his music - and coincidentally, camps!
