Birth name: Johnny Allen Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix grabbed electric guitar by the neck and wrestled it into a new era. His feedback-heavy solos and hallucinogenic tunes helped define the psychedelic \\'60s. Hendrix was one of the featured performers at the Woodstock music festival. Throughout Jimi's career, he had recorded songs with some of the best guitarits of the 20th century, including BB King, who has recently turned 80, and Eric Clapton. He's also one of a series of rock stars who famously died young; he was 27 when he suffocated after ingesting wine and sleeping pills in 1970.

Jimi hendrix didnt write All alomg the watchtower, but
he made it his own, so i can see how you\'d put it on a
purevolume in thats dedicated to three songs of Jimi
Hendrix\'s, one of which he didnt even write.
