Initially begun as a side project of ALL NATURAL LEMON & LIME FLAVORS, by Jeremy Winter, while his alma mater was still active. Winter began writing, recording, and performing under the Jett Brando moniker as early as 1994, when the crooner-inflected style of his material didn't quite jive with "L&L's" Creation/4AD-inspired wall of sound. Numerous lo-fi 4-track recordings took place, thanks to the help of Stephen Doherty and Pete Murphy, who convinced Winter to put the erratic solo acoustic outings on hold in favor of a more traditional approach. Doherty and Murphy joined on drums and bass, respectively, and their shows ended up having a Pavement-meets-Sinatra vibe. This was the line-up responsible for "The Movement Toward You", released on Gern Blandsten in 2000. At this point ALL NATURAL LEMON & LIME FLAVORS had fizzled out, and Jett Brando had become a "real band", playing shows regularly in the NY Metro area, and with a growing repertoire of material, including collaborations with experimental hip-hop group, dalek, whose debut was also released on Gern Blandsten Records. After subsequent line-up changes, including appearances by members of Tiger Mountain and Killed By The Bull, Winter concentrated on finishing a new full-length, which would elaborate on the direction of the eclectic "Jagged Junktion" EP from 2003. "Embargo", is now finished and in search of a label while Winter is currently in the process of setting up shows in the NY Metro area.

Jeremy -- I really enjoyed your music -- thanks for alerting me to it. I'm very impressed at how you've gotten all this together. I've never played with a band or performed in public -- just occasional jams, mostly just play for fun by myself. Congrats on Jett Brando. Doug, your neighbor at 18 the Cresent Jan 28
