Members: James Glines
Jessica Something Jewish formed in early 2004 as an escape from lackluster guitar and vocal emotional ballads. The purpose was to create a new sound, for which everyone could apprceiate in some way. Some of it is made for dancing, some is made for swaying. The message is unclear, but is slowly revealed through the vague metaphors ever present in the lyrics. Never tying himself to one subject, James Glines, the creator of JSJ, finds a way to tell the difference between the most important subjects to the most obscure and inconsequential things imaginable. With around 60 shows and an overseas tour under his belt, he is determined to continue the electronic wave he has started.
Glines has shared the stage with international touring acts such as Tegan and Sara, Ash, Rocky Votolato, Viva Voce, The Ditty Bops, The Kohl Heart (formerly XOXOXO), Alaska!, The 89 Cubs, Shiny Toy Guns, VCR, The Bravery, Mixel Pixel, Decibully, VHS or BETA, Dan Deacon, Aqueduct, Walter Meego and many more. He recently completed his full length album titled Seattle Calls, and a 22 gig tour in Australia and New Zealand. Besides on purevolume, check JSJ out at this link as well: Myspace Profile
