J Boy began performing in 1994 for various teenage venues. His musical career has taken him from his base in Springfield, Missouri to perform in such places as Kansas City, St Louis, Texas, Tennessee, Los Angeles, Alaska and on a military base for our U.S. troops. He has had the privilege of having his music critiqued by a Grammy winning songwriter and to receive training from the same vocal coach who has trained numerous celebrity artists. As a member of ASCAP he entered his first song "You Don't Love Me" into the Library of Congress in 1998. He was signed by a north-western record label A&R in 2000, but later decided to part ways over creative differences. J Boy has taken a recent sabbatical to refocus himself and begin the next phase of his music career.
