Designer by day, soundmaker by night.

Sounds like: your great-grandfather's beard, with all its tangles of despair and hope
Feels like: the knot in a young bird's stomach as it leaps from the nest for its first flight

This project began in 2006 and has since allowed me to perform in some humble venues in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia. My sonic and lyrical influences include: The Books, Evening Hymns, PlayRadioPlay!, Sufjan Stevens, Boards of Canada, Cool Hand Luke, mewithoutYou, Joe Zambon, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, 9voltpenpal, The Decemberists, Entire Cities, The Glorious Unseen, Neil Young, To Downcast Your Eyes, Underoath, Emery, Copeland.

The tracks that are up are just a few samples of my experiments. I hope to eventually release a full-length album but it's slow going because most of my creative energy is devoted to my design & illustration business, Studio Jaywall.
