I've been into music all my life . . . I've been playing some sort of instrument since I was about 9 years old. That's when I first picked up a Cello, which wasn't too bad. I stuck with it in 5th grade and added on some Classical Piano. In 6th grade I traded in my strings for a Clarinet with the intent of one day playing the Sax. Half way through 7th grade I dropped the Piano lessons and began to continue playing and teaching myself. I played a little bit of Jazz and Blues, and some lingering Classical. But, I had become tired of music with classical roots, and went straight for the Rocker image as I bought my first guitar, a Hartke electric Bass Guitar. I had fun being in about 2 or 3 bands over the course of two years until I finally picked up an Electric Guitar during the summer between 8th and 9th Grade. I've have been playing electric guitar for a little over a year and have taught myself EVERYTHING I know (which I'm VERY proud of)! I actually began developing a softer sound shortly after I started playing. I began writing my own music back around late November, and I can say I haven't stopped since. I picked up my acoustic not too long ago, and it has been a wonderful addition to my collection of instruments. It has also greatly improved my playing and has allowed me to branch out with new and more inventive genres. Music is MY LIFE. It's what I love to do. And I've already decided I'm going to make a career out of Live Music Performance. Being able/ having the means to pursue such an incredible dream is AMAZING! Music influences EVERYTHING I do!!!
