I'm Prettier Than You (IPTY) is a five-piece pop/punk group that originated in the heart of the Midwest. Rising from different tastes and interests, these five musicians brought their excitement for great music together and created IPTY in mid-2009. A multitude of different influences fueled their first EP (recorded at 37 Studios in Detroit by Matt Dalton) which is entitled "Turning Pages." They're a band that is making their mark on the music scene by offering a unique feel for upbeat rock. Being simply a part of the scene isn't enough for IPTY. They set themselves apart from other bands in the scene by combining different genres, poetic lyrics, and unique arrangements that fit together into well thought out compositions. If all that wasn't reason enough to listen to IPTY, each song has something new to offer listeners. This band is putting their mark in the world of music. With everything from soaring choruses to foot-tapping verses, there is something for everyone in IPTY music.
