For those of you who have been following the attempted band setup that Rick Thornton and Tyler McGuire have been working on for a while now, you know the story. For those of you who haven't, heres whats happening. They started off as a band named DART, with Dion as guitarist, Aila as second guitarist, and Rick and Tyler on drums and bass. From there, Aila quit and Dion, Rick, and Tyler adopted a new name as well as a keyboard player. TheLastAct was up and running with new singer/keys-man John Riccardi. However cool TheLastAct might have thought they were, it didnt even last that long as Dion Larson made a sudden dropout. So Rick and Tyler were left at Wharton High School as the two remaining original members of the band (John goes to Freedom). They were in the marching band and took a break as that temporarily took over their lives. Then, last November, they found time again to form up the band. Rick approached one of his friends in his French class about being their guitarist/singer and that turned out to be Jordan Davidson. Tyler was also on recruit duty. So he met Billy at his bus stop and he agreed to be involved. Rick didnt know that Tyler had a guitarist, and Tyler didnt know that Rick had found one, so the band got two new guitarists as well as--yes---ANOTHER new name. So far the most success has been made in Infomercials On Primetime than DART and TheLastAct combined, and there still working hard. They hope to be showing the community what they can do in a matter of months. Stay tuned for some awesome music on the way!
