A 4 piece based out of santa cruz and san jose,Imperium plays a unique style of death metal influenced heavily by Alexi Laeho, and the finnish melodic death metal scene. The band originally started as a recording project back in 2003,Imperium has gone through many changes in drummers and vocalists but the band has always consisted of 3 original members Conner bruce the bands original drummer,vocalist,and bassist Jeff Rose the bands Lead guitarist,and Luke hertzler the bands other lead guitarist.Ronny Greer was drummer for a short while but was moved on to bass due to the fact that he was a better bassist and wasn't up to par for what the band needed on drums.Cory greg Ronny's best friend and former band mate then took the slot of drums which strengthened the band as a whole.After 4 shows something was missing,Amaury yanez(formely of altruist)quickly joined the band on lead vocals and u have the lineup that was Imperium.After Amaury's first show it was decided that cory greg could not deliver what the band needed on drums and was quickly replaced with conner bruce (the bands original vocalist). Later on Amaury Yanez the band's lead singer made the very very sudden and difficult choice to leave the band,he was apparently not into the music and decided he didn't want to be apart of the band.Although Cory and Amaury are not in the band anymore they still maintain close friendships with members of the band .Imperium decided the due to the fact that it was always Luke,Jeff,Ronny,and conner and that whenever another member was brought in it never worked out that this is how the band would stay.Luke Hertzler current lead guitarist than started doing vocals and you have the Lineup that is Imperium
