Punk / Rock
If All Else Fails, eight-year veterans of the Southern California underground scene, are finally getting an album to the masses! Their unique and powerful post-punk rock sound has earned them demo deals with both Immortal and Columbia records, but they have recently decided to pursue independent status. Their music, a far cry for the love-angst emo and sugary pop-punk flooding today's popular radio, is rooted in classic songwriting, diverse melodies, passionate performance, and a variety of lyrical topics ranging from unrequited love to the hypocrisy of fundamentalism, fallen poets to falling bombs. In fact, it is their substance over style attitude that has earned them such a loyal fan base, and fortunately, a new-found direction. The band's first full-length album, "DO NOT FORGET TO BE ANGRY," will be in stores this fall. "We think we can really get something profound and moving out there--and not only out there, but to a lot of people. The lack of sincerity in popular music today, quite honestly, disgusts us, and we're hell-bent on providing something honest and unique." IAEF will be touring relentlessly this fall and next year. They love meeting other people who have a passion for music and ideas, sound and sense.
