Ian Faith records under the artist name Ian

"Don't Be Afraid" the new 10 song album by Ian, Release date March 14th, 2006. Exclusively on iTunes Music Store.

On this new record, Ian celebrates the things that make his life special. Gratitude, admiration and love are fundamental themes that run through the songs. The stirringly moody rendition of "Right Here Right Now" on which he is joined by Ken Oak and his cello, make you ponder where you are with your own life?

The single going to radio is "Greatest Country." They say immigrants are more patriotic than those who are born and grow up in a country. Ian came to the USA in 1991 and became a citizen in 2000. "For me, America has given me more opportunity than I could have ever imagined. Don't get me wrong, I love England, but for what I wanted out of life I had to make the move."

"Alis Love" is not just a love song to his wife but a glowing reflection of who she is from her friends and family. Allison sings on several songs on the album including "God Sends His Angels" and "Rainbow Parakeet."

The title track "Don't Be Afraid" reaches out to all those who dont feel loved or don't think they will find in relationships the love they want. Love will find you many ways...

Overall it is a solid record that should touch a chord with many of us as we make our way through this wonderful life!

"I am quite aware of the hazards - I want to do it because I want to do it."
Amelia Earhart

Burn Brightly, Ian's debut solo record is a tribute to all who live full lives and try to beat the odds. With a wealth of experience on the international music scene as an artist, producer and label executive, English expatriate Ian now steps forward with his debut solo record Burn Brightly, an exciting new collection of original material on GCG.

The albums focus track "Fields of England", is a tribute to Ians homeland. His dedication to England's beauty is reflected in the lyric "To a special place my heart goes with grace/Somewhere in this world" and in its accompanying quote, from Sir Winston Churchill We shall never surrender.

Though he has been featured in Rolling Stone, Billboard and Hits magazines, this producer/label executive remains a bit of a mystery. Taken as a whole, Burn Brightly is a puzzle designed to hint at and expose the enigmatic Ian. Each song is accompanied by quotes and stories of influential international inspirational figures such as Amelia Airhart, John F. Kennedy, Mother Teresa, all who have Burned Brightly in their lives.

"Is this the life that you've always wanted?" from the song Black

Ian has always gone to special places. He is the man behind the critically acclaimed collaboration, Red Sands Dreaming by Global Collective. While living and working in Australia, Ian brought together traditional Aboriginal works dating back 40,000 years, marring them to dance and pop beats designed to perk up the ears of listeners worldwide. Red Sands Dreaming was originally released on Atlantic Records.

Most recently, he was co-writer of "Adore You", a single by international model and actress Lisa Barbuscia. The song appears in the feature film Kiss of the Dragon and on the Virgin Records soundtrack.

He has a background as an artist (Splash, Atlantic) and writer (Warner/Chappell) as is known for his ongoing work as a record producer (Lippman Ent., CMI) including work for Neil Finn (Crowded House), Yothu Yindi, Colin Hay (Men At Work), Brent Bourgeois and others. He has achieved an Album of the Year award and collected Gold and Platinum discs internationally.

At 21 Ian started his label in Australia in the late Eighties. While based in Australia in 1990, FMA had a distribution agreement with EMI Records Australia. He fell passionately in love with World Music while producing the Yothu Yindi album, Freedom, in 1993, and was later initiated into an Aborigine tribe in North East Arnhem Land, Australia. He launched the American FMA in 1997.

"This business of music is an emotionally hazardous journey not a physical destination. I am passionate about what I do and I do it because I want to do it."
