Members of Rum Tenor, Vin Fiz, Bella, and Hot Fought Cold get together to create the folk/pop rock ensemble, HUSKIES. Espinosa describes, The whole thing (band) was kind of a fluke. Only, after we played our first show the response was so well received we decided wed play again and make a record. So, a year later here we are.

Huskies have recently recorded their debut EP "The Good Fight" with producer Craig Schumacher (Calexico, Neko Case, Howe Gelb) at WaveLab Studios in Tucson, Arizona. The opener, 'All Things Good and Clean', is the bands most pop and radio-friendly track, while its closer 'Spin Around' incorporates acoustic alt-country elements one might find in a Wilco or Ryan Adams song. Schumacher even plays the Hammond on this one. The title track, 'The Good Fight', is by far the records darkest piece combining organs and distorted guitar. Espinosa explains, I dont plan to write songs they just sort of happen. The result has been far more fantastic then I wouldve imagined and thats entirely attributed to the talents of my bandmates.

The Good Fight is scheduled for an April 15th, 2006 release date.
