Hot Korean Moms is the brainchild of 'Pip' Morris.
Pip began simply by playing with various bits of audio software and turning out an occasional track. Once he had enough, he put these together as an album. This album was Fevertech(c) Inc.
At this point, Pip began calling himself nOstrOmO, and decided to try and make music more seriously rather than simply as a way to kill time.
The name nOstrOmO was dropped shortly after when Pip discovered that it was already in use (allbeit without the kooky spelling), and Hot Korean Moms (named after a track by P-Love & Amon Tobin) came into being.
Hot Korean Moms is all about variety. Though all tracks are composed almost entirely on computer, with no external instruments, the styles of these tracks vary greatly. Some are sinister, ambient pieces, some are pounding dance or industrial, some are comical, some are melancholy, some are straight-forward, some are anything but.
As well as a couple of home-produce albums, HKM has provided music for a number of short films, a proposed childrens TV show for the BBC, and a mobile phone game.
