Honeycreeper is a dirty, nasty, sexy, sweaty, high-energy rock band that's funky as hell. This stock is seasoned liberally with punk and ska, and even a little hip-hop, metal, tribal, and reggae. Lyrically, the songs are about the dichotomy of life- in other words, life can suck but theres no point whining about it. Honeycreeper is serious but fun, edgy and eclectic yet easily accessible and danceable. They are freaky without being embarrassing, clever yet not pretentious, and sexy without being slutty. Honeycreeper has a sound all their own, yet its completely familiar and youll want to sing along to every chorus. The music can be sort of dark and mysterious, but you'll want to give it a big hug at the end of the night. It's music played by people who need to play music. It's a stew that's cooking on its' own flame-- all you need to do is show up with your spork and dig in.

For those of you who care, here's a few things people have written about Honeycreeper and our album Freakqualizer :
"The members of Albany-area alternative rock outfit Honeycreeper are nothing if not ambitious: atop a pneumatic punk-funk base, the energetic foursome pile on weighty slabs of hip hop, reggae, hard rock and 1990s American ska. And its proven to be a winning recipe, making the act a frequent club favorite locally and up and down the East Coast. Freakqualizer, Honeycreeper's debut album, is a sharply produced, impressively realized first effort that, quite loudly and literally, screams out for college and alternative radio airplay."
- Peter Aaron for The Daily Freeman
"The opening of Honeycreeper's Freakqualizer grabs your attention with a jazz-infused rhythm that rages straight out of Mandy Becks saxophone. But when the multitalented Becks voice joins the fun, youre suddenly jolted into taking a second listen. Shouldn't be surprising, then, that the track is entitled "Your Voice". Honeycreeper do not need to rely solely on the strength of this kick-ass lead female singer/saxophonist, though; their personalized approach is enough to latch on to your eardrums and hold on tightly throughout the rest of the album. By "The Man", you're probably thinking this band is certainly rocking your iPod and would probably be even more gratifying live. The punk, ska, hip hop, and reggae blend together for a sound that is eccentric, catchy and ultimately entertaining."
- Amy Tetreault for Face Magazine
"Those of us who grew up listening to Pantera, Tribe Called Quest, Bob Marley, Deee-lite, and the Dead Kennedys all on the same mix tape won't want to miss Honeycreeper, a funky, sexy mish-mash of all those genres. Leading lady and songstress Mandy Beck plays sax with a vengeance and her boys bring the funk."
- Amy Martin for The Portland Phoenix
"Honeycreeper is the shit, plain and simple. From the first track, "Your Voice", you know that this CD will be like nothing youve ever heard before. This is a disc jam-packed with styles, solos, energy, and fun. I definitely recommend seeing these guys and picking up a copy of Freakqualizer."
- Todd Springer for CTSka.com
"Bringing together influences from all over the musical spectrum with a dynamic female lead, Honeycreeper is one of the most fiercely original groups in the current music scene."
- Gutterman for TeamScene.com

This July, Honeycreeper will be heading out on our second national tour and we couldn't be more excited. Below is a list of dates and cities that outline our proposed tour. If, you can help us book a show on any of the dates that aren't already booked (booked shows are bolded), please let us know! We're really just looking for (preferably) an all-ages, punk/ska/indie friendly place to play and good people to play for. We'll play anywhere-- if you're willing to throw a party, and invite all of you friends, and have us play in your basement/garage/backyard, or if you help run a camp, or a youth center, or a correctional facility, or if you are in a rad band, or know any rad bands-- and would like us to play, please contact us! Your help will def be repaid!!!
BTW- these cities are not set in stone, so if you can offer us something within a few hours of the cities listed, that's cool, too!

We're pleased to welcome Igor Stolarsky into the Honeycreeper family. Igor will be playing guitar for us and has already taken us to the next level, musically. Igor is stepping in after our previous guitarist decided in the middle of our national tour back in August that he couldn't be away from his girlfriend (whom he had been dating for all of three weeks) and quit. After a near beating of the former guitarist at the hands of El Mustango and a visit from Iowa's finest ("the so-called men in blue" - thanks CrazyEyes for that quote) Honeycreeper decided to finish the tour as a guitar-less trio. We had an amazing time... Anywho, all's well that ends well, and we're very psyched to have a guitarist as talented as Igor on board. Plus, his name is Igor and that's just cool...
Igor is the only Honeycreeper without a Myspace (although he's a massive computer nerd, apparently he's too cool for Myspace) so we hope that everyone will please leave comments directed toward him on the band's profile. We will muscle him to the computer, pry his eyes open and force him to read them until he realizes that resisting the awesome allure of Myspace is futile.
Lovies,
!!HONEYCREEPER!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had an amazing time last night at the Thanksgiving Throwdown at Valentine's in Albany. It was great to see the placed packed to the gills and everyone having fun. It was especially fun because we got to share the stage with some our favorites: The Flaming Tsunamis, The Fad and, of course, Public Access. The show was off the hook! Thank you if you were there. and thanks to Jay from PA for putting it all together.
Buster also had some fun while we were at the show. He met some new friends and got tagged. Luckily for us, we love grafitti. And, we should also note that this isnlt the first time Buster was tagged. When we played with The Designer Drugs in Johnstown we came out to find SLAYER scrawled on the side of Buster. Again, luckily for us, we love Slayer. I'm not sure why, but in a moment of stupidity, I removed the Slayer tag. But, I will not be removing these latest tags. Fuck Giuliani and Bloomberg!
