PureVolume

HOAX is a band that has been playing their diverse style of punk rock music for the past four years. We have played at every major venue in Cape Town, including Mercury Live and The Three Arts Theatre. We have played with a number of international bands including Fat Wreck Chords band, Frenzal Rhomb, Kung Fu Records band, Cooper and the German international band Drei Flaschen. We have also played many shows with major local bands such as Fuzigish, Tweak, Hog Hoggidy Hog, Fokofpolisiekar, Leek and the Bouncing Uptones, Sibling Rivalry, The Rudimentals, Half Price, and Captain Stu and the Llamas.

HOAX consists of four members: Pascal on Vocals and guitar, Giles on lead guitar, Mark on bass and Sasha on drums and backing vocals. This solid line-up has proved very successful and has won the band many fans since it's inception.

With the band's second release entitled "Burn, Burn, Burn", the band seeks to grow to a new level and to showcase themselves and their developing style to the local and international public. The 7-track CD conveys several of the bands newer releases as well as two slightly older tracks, both received successfully.

The signature HOAX style is constantly developing and evolving as the members and the band grow- an ever evolving musical endevour.
