Hit or Miss started out as a four piece fast paced hardcore/punk band. Playing since December of 2003. They started off under the name Elaborate Hoax with Waylon Crawford on guitar, Travis Wise on second guitar, Daniel Correa on bass, and Anthony Zamora on drums. They eventually moved Travis up to lead vocals. With a void in the lead guitar position they asked a friend to fill in. Dom Soon stepped in to fill the slot. After settling down and writing some songs, they hit the studio and recorded their first 4 song demo. With that they stared playing shows at local Stockton/Lodi venues, such as The Blackwater Caf, Caffeine Den.Soon after Dom quit the band. This put the band on a hiatus for about three months. Not sure how it would be having someone fill in for Dom. Waylon stepped up to lead. With Waylon creativeness on the guitar they had a lot of one guitar, so they decided to add another guitarist for rhythm. Dom left because of other opportunitys so they added Mike Rhed to play. They went back to the studio to record a single, titled The Differences in Reminders. They moved up to play some shows in the bay area such as the Phoenix Theater. When coming back down to the central valley, they were entered into the Stockton Battle of the Bands. They took a small break, during the break they decided to part with their drummer Anthony and guitarist Mike due to musical differences. After their break they got drummer Jeff Olay to fully replace the old drummer, and Dom later came back to complete the 5 peice once again. With these new changes they felt it was time to Change their name. They changed it to Hit or Miss, it was dedicated to everybody who said they would never amount to anything. From December of 2003 to now, Hit or Miss has not only been a band, they have been family to each other, they are a hardcore band striving for something more than just scene fame. We are not trying to break new ground but mearly trying acomplish what the bands we love and grew up with acomplished, and through common ground we will succeed. This is for the kids who supported us and for the ones who said we would never be here today.
