The present is such a mystery. One day we wake up, look around and curse the sky because we think it’s fallen on us. The next we wonder where we found the strength to make it through. Who we are and who we’ve become; are they a product of our past? Or do we only amount to what people think we are. The tests of time that we often think we failed miserably generally proves to be the experience that carries us through those times. These events, these realities of life, make us stronger for the days yet to come. Life is not perfect, for days of laughter there are days of tears; for days of happiness there are days of sadness. It is the days in between that make us who we are. We sing about the tragedies of our lives because it was the hard times that instilled character, the drive to press through and the true understanding of the happier days. “Consider it pure joy when you face trials of many kinds, because you know that it develops perseverance, and perseverance must complete itself so that you may be mature and complete.” We will experience the joys of tomorrow because of the History of Our Presence.
