ABOUT ME
The name is Julius. I am a Hip Hop artist/ lyricist/ freestyler/ flow-er/ student. I am currently a Communication Studies major with hopes of switching over to SRT (Sound Recording Technology) soon. I focus on changing hip hop from what it has become back to an outlet of expression. Something real with heart and a message, something that actually means something. I have been freestyling and beat boxing since I was 14 and now have just started to seriously write and record music. I am currently the recruitment chair for the Hip Hop Congress at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Texas State is what has given me the opportunity to pursue hip hop. Im not sure If I would have ever gotten the option to speak into a microphone without them. The single that is on the "A Texas Statement" album is entitled "Bounce Back". It is a positive message song about not giving up when you face lifes hardest times. "Shred The Game" is a song about changing hip hop. Or more seriously destroying what it has become. 'Money, hos and clothes that's all these rappers know' ( from "Get Ready" an unreleased track) is what I feel mainstream Hip Hop has become. Not to exclude cars, drugs and sex of course. Dont get me wrong I love a good beat and a tight jam, but the content...the content, to me the lyrical value has to mean something.
IM REAL. I focus on real hip hop. Nothing fake. I am honest with my lyrics. My real name is Julius. I figure if I rap real than my name has to be real.
Big Shout out to LEATO of Leato Productions. My producer out of Austin, makes the sickest beats known to man. ( Just got Magno on a beat). Check Him out - www.myspace.com/leatoproducer
