Dignity isn't for sale. It comes from within. Hilary Duff has always carried herself with dignity, from her 2001 TV debut starring in "Lizzy McGuire," through big screen hits like "Cinderella Story" and "Cheaper by the Dozen," to her career as a multi-platinum recording artist, with more than 13 million albums sold to date. Now Hilary brings her customary class and splash to her new Hollywood Records CD "Dignity."

At 19, Hilary has matured into a sophisticated singer and songwriter. Hilary has co-written all the songs on "Dignity", always aiming high and ultimately creating an album of depth and consequence. To realize her vision for the new CD, she teamed with Grammy-Award winning Kara Dioguardi ( Gwen Stefani, Pussy Cat Dolls, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Clarkson), as well as top producer/songwriters like Chico Bennett & Richard Vission (Madonna, Usher, Killers), Tim & Bob (Nas, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez), Vada Nobles (Rhianna, Lauryn Hill, Faith Evans, Natasha Beddingfield, Warren G), Fredwrecke (Snoop Dog, Eminem, Fergi) Will.I.Am and Rhett Lawrence.

In the title track, she talks about her experiences and observations of living in Los Angeles ("Where's your dignity/I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills"). "Danger" explores the suspect advances of an older man, while "With Love" turns the world's most common song topic upside down. ("I can take your honesty/All your words weigh heavily/I'm listening to you all the time"). The song "Stranger" reveals a relationship that is picture perfect in public, but cold behind closed doors. With every track, Hilary probes life and love more intensely, and with more vulnerability than she has before.

A native of Houston, Hilary Duff gained global recognition in 2001 starring in the hit Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire. In May 2003, she brought her character to the big screen with Walt Disney Pictures' "The Lizzie McGuire Movie." She went on to co-star in hit films like "Agent Cody Banks," "Cheaper By the Dozen" and "Cinderella Story," "Raise Your Voice," "Perfect Man," and "Material Girls."

Hilary's #1 solo debut CD "Metamorphosis sold 4 times platinum, followed by her self -titled album and "Most Wanted" both of which sold 3 million records. Hilary enjoyed Top 40 hits like "So Yesterday," "Come Clean," "Fly," and "Wake Up." Hilary's "Most Wanted" CD was her second # 1 debut and it remained # 1 for 2 weeks. With "Most Wanted" Hilary began to experiment more with her style and music as seen in her videos for "Wake Up" where she donned wigs and different looks and for "Beat of My Heart" in which she exclusively wore high end haute couture and began favoring more dance and rhythmic beats.

Hilary has some exciting movie projects on deck in this year, including "War, Inc." (starring John Cusack, Sir Ben Kingsley and Marisa Tomei) and the animated feature "Foodfight." Hilary recently debuted her own perfume "With Love", the video and commercial of which were shot by world-renown Matthew Ralston. But her music - and the upcoming tour - remain front and center these days. And that's just how she wants it. Hilary Duff always connected closely with her audience. Dignity is FINALLY OUT!!!!

OMG I am sooo nervous, my album dropped and I am anxiously waiting to see how it does. I want it to do well. I have been working hard and I have a new band and a new sound. Our album release party was huge! We had over 400 people in the house. Rhett Lawrence stopped by, he helped me on Play With Fire, and Cara D. helped me write most of the album. Richard Vision who does a lot of my remixes was our D.J. It was awesome. I am humbled and excited about all of the reviews in the NY Times and USA Today (knock on Wood). No matter how the album sells, I am proud of it because it came from my heart!
I am feeling better since I returned from NY, maybe because I had a chance to shop a little in NY. Well, this week I have Kimmel, Tyra, Ellen, Leno and something for My Space. Oh yeah, check out the MTV Special on my life. MTV followed me around the world; it was fun. Don't 4get to pick up a copy of Dignity at the stores and to vote for my video on TRL. Seriously, guys, I am so thankful to all of you who send inspiring and positive remarks to me. I love how active people are like Sarah and William and Scot. You guys are a great source of inspiration to me! I thank you for all of the support.

Hilary has just released her new song "With Love" on Kiss LA with Ryan Seacrest. Be sure to listen to the song above on Hil's purevolume or myspace pages.\\

She also revealed that the album will be titled Dignity. When asked why she decided to name the album Dignity she replied, "Dignity is something you don't just have, you have to work on having it."

Hilary's upcoming album...

Hilary has been in the studio finishing up her album which you can look for this April. Hilary has been co-writing every song with Kara Dioguardi ( Gwen Stefani, Pussycat Dolls , Kelly Clarkson...) so each song is very personal to her. She has been working with some excitng producers and mixers such as Richard "Humpty" Vission (The Killers, Sting, Usher), Tim and Bob (Madonna, Destiny's Child, Will Smith) and 4 time Grammy winner, Manny Marroquin (John Mayer, Alicia Keys, kanye West. This album will be something that will make you want to put your dancing shoes on. You may have already heard the two songs "Play With Fire" and "With Love" so if that got ya movin', just wait and see what else is comin'!!!!

back!

I am back from Bulgaria! It was nice, but I am happy to be back in LA. My sister Haylie is working on a movie in Vancouver, so I think I may go and visit her. I am excited about Material Girls being out on DVD! If you missed it in the theatres, now is the time to get it. Or maybe you can give it to someone as a present for the holidays. I am about to walk my dogs and play with my cat Gloomy, I missed them so much while I was in Bulgaria! Well, enjoy your holiday season and be safe in your travels.
