In today's media-driven industry, it seems the term "rock" can be applied to an almost impossible mass of music - most of which far from conjure images of edgy rockers donning dirty jeans and old tee shirts, with their amps juiced to 11, and their guitars screaming to the heavens.
Rock was a simple art. Those who dedicated themselves to its custom used distortion and volume as their voice to tell a story that was both honest and accessible. It was the soundtrack of rebellion; music for those seeking a language without words. While the times certainly have changed, it is in celebration of this tradition that Washington D.C.'s HIGH SPEED CHANGER was found.
Hailing from several prominent area bands [Pg.99, Corn on Macabre, Run Silent Run Deep, and Forensics], HIGH SPEED CHANGER is a shift in focus for its members who decided, after years of recording and touring throughout the US and Europe, to come together with the common focus of making unapologetic, high-energy, fist-pumping, foot-on-the-monitor, rock and roll that defies industry-dependence through a strong commitment to the DIY philosophy of self-production and promotion.
For fans of music rooted deep in the heart and soul of rock, HIGH SPEED CHANGER will not disappoint; delivering an energetic live show, passionate performance, and a thrashing sound that will leave you begging for a louder stereo.
Break out the old jeans and your favorite tee...rock has returned.

Recently, we parted ways with our bass player and friend Garrett. We, collectively, had been involved in bands with Garrett for many years and as he is one of the best dudes anyone could hope to ever meet... needless to say he will be missed.
Regardless, he will always be the fourth guy and it is hoped that his other musical avenues lead to places with too much "good times" to handle.

Need help with a tour.... August 4th to 11th
We are planning our first short tour for the first and second week of August and we need some help with contacts/information.
Here are the dates and tentative destinations so far....
4th - Philadelphia
5th - NY, NY. Possibly ABC No Rio...
6th - CT
7th - MA
8th - NH
9th - NJ or NY
10th - Baltimore or D.C.
11th - Richmond
If anyone has any information or could pass us along someone who might be able to help... you'd be doing a great service to a group of musicians who never filled the PR role in our previous bands....
Thank you.
