HighBall is a power rock with punk influences band based out of Chicago. Formed in October 1999, the trio started out in the depths of a Chicago basement. HighBall quickly began creating original songs containing lyrics from everyday life, adventures, relationships and the daily 9 to 5 grind. HighBall knew they had an edge to their music often being compared to sounds of Screeching Weasel, Green Day, and The Ramones. Soon after, HighBall began playing live shows with a short set of songs and created a self-released demo in February of 2002. Once their demo was released they quickly gained additional shows in the Chicagoland area. In August of 2002 HighBall was added to a compilation CD put out by the Ohio based record label Lactose Intolerant Records.

HighBall never stands still, continuously moving forward composing new songs, and completing a second demo in February 2003. In 2004 HighBall was added to two compilations. The first compilation with Chicago based record label Bone Records - Play with the Dogs, featuring several local Chicago bands released in February 2004. The second compilation produced by Militia Promotions - Underground Movement 3, released in April 2004. As the change of seasons come and go so do band members. In August of 2004 HighBall experienced a lineup change; longtime guitarist and vocalist moved onto pursue other opportunities. This led to an extensive search and hundreds of tryouts for a replacement, even considering the launching of a reality TV show, American HighBall. Finally the search ended and HighBall added a new guitarist and vocalist to the band. HighBall is excited with the fresh new addition to the band, bringing years of experience in local bands throughout the Chicagoland area. Soon after HighBall released a demo with the new lineup in February 2005. HighBall was added to the All Ages Zine compilation CD in January 2006.

In May of 2006 HighBall released a split CD with Chicago area band After the Fight. The split CD was put out on by Chicago based record label Bone Records. HighBall recorded with Apetrax Studios and mastered the release at Uptown Recording Studio.

HighBall continues redefining rock music and has an onstage energy and presence that is matched only by their quick and punchy power chord sound - the style of music to which great rock legends owe their success.
