Born in early December of 2004, the band that would become Here's To Us was a local Coeur d' Alene band with a lot to say.

"The Girls" was thought up by drummer Nick Taylor at a practice session that first December. The first song was "Armageddon," a war song. All parts were written by Nick Taylor in a short time of about two hours. Alex Chaffin (bass and vocals) and Tyler Hunt (guitar) learned the song, and the next day it was recorded. In the Spring of 2005, The Girls played on a Wednesday night for the Middle School Youth Group at Lake City Community Church (all members were in the eighth grade). That Friday, they played at the same location. Both shows were well done as a first venue. They then began to write. The material thus produced was what would be on the first album, which has yet to be named. The trio became a foursome after singer Justen Tuttle came along. This was soon altered, as Justen never showed up to practice. This led to a period without a singer. Tryouts were held, and no one could be found to sing. Finally, the band looked to drummer Nick's brother Jake. He tried out and was immediately added to the band. Manager Dan Nelmar was added as soon as he visited one of the band's practice sessions. This would replace longtime friend and former manager Jamie Royster. With new vocals and a new manager, the band took a better angle on what they looked to achieve.

The band knew that if they were to get any further, a name change was in order. The band became "Here's To Us," on March 7, 2006

May 27 brought the band's new demo, the "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" EP. Be sure to check it out here, as well as on our myspace page. www.myspace.com/hereistous . Much love.

Later in 2006 manager Dan Nelmar was taken out of the picture and the band went on under self-management. More songs were added to the "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" EP, two of which you can check out here as well as our myspace.

At the end of 2006 and into 2007, underlying problems surfaced, breaking up the group. Alex, Nick, and Tyler went to form the Paris Peace Conference (http://www.myspace.com/parispeaceconference).
