Henry Spencer was a short lived screamo band based primarily out of New Fairfield, CT in late 2003. their first show was a garage show in Carmel, Ny. it went horribly wrong with guitar malfunctions during only a two song set. these malfunctions would go down to be their trademark. they went on to play a dozen shows in three states and encountered many strange people. throughout their short lived time together they had gotten on shows with such good and established bands as misery signals, beloved, on the might of princes, this day forward, scarlet, zao, the chemistry, halifax, for another day, little yellow box, first aid kit, life before this, duchess red, for another day, the back and forth of courage, radiation4, practiced bravado, anterrabae, and more. henry spencer recorded a five song demo and sold it with a cool hand screened cd sleeve. all 5 songs are on the internet, either on pure volume or on hxcmp3. they also recorded a real rough track of "these are bank robbers", which is also available. they sadly came to an abrupt ending in mid 2004 with lack of dedication. we knew that our hearts were not in this band as much as they should have been, so we played our final hoorah, and hung up our boots. they had so much help with selling tickets, recording, selling merch, promoting, website, and more. there are way to many people to thank and that was done in livejournals and other things. today, all that is left are these six sad pieces of young aggresion. we know these songs are not very good, but they were heartfelt, and let us play shows, which we loved, and were remembered for breaking stuff and spazzing out. for most of us, this was our first band. today the members have moved onto other musical projects such as harper's ferry, moon is down, and panda kahn. thank you for reading and being our friends.
