I can have everyone be out there for hours and hours and hours. And if theyre doing it with no significant effort to try to get something done the right way, it accomplishes nothing. If I get them out there for 15 to 20 minutes on a particular drill and theyre really into the drill, I get a lot more out of that, and we, as a club, will get more out of it. And Ill repeat, if you cant perform in drills during practice in spring training, what makes you think youre going to perform in front of 40,000 people during a ballgame? It doesnt change.
