Andrew, Michael and Bryan came together under the name "Help Wanted" in late 2007. Michael and Bryan had been playing guitar from an early age, and Andrew started with bass in late junior high. Originally, the lineup was supposed to be Andrew on drums, Michael on lead guitar, and Bryan on bass. However, Andrew couldn't secure a drumset, and Bryan ended up learning guitar, so the lineup was altered.

Michael became the group's rhythm guitarist and lead singer (but soon gave up on vocals), Bryan became the lead guitarist, and Andrew became the bassist. For a while, Bryan's dad, Bryan Sr. was the group's drummer, but the group really came into fruition when Andrew finally graduated from high school, and Bryan Sr. was replaced by Bryan. Jr. as the group's percussionist.

Bryan didn't decide that he wanted to be the drummer, it was more out of necessity. Bryan Sr. couldn't practice with the band all too often, because he was involved with his own project, Bang Bang Betty, a predominantly classic rock cover band. During the summer of 2008, Help Wanted was busy looking for a drummer, and actually ended up finding a lead singer (another integral piece of their band that was missing) in Rudy Garbely, a solo guitarist from northern New Jersey. After a few online demos were sent back and forth, Help Wanted decided to adopt Rudy as their new lead singer.

Rudy was wary about coming on solely as the lead singer from the beginning, thinking of himself mainly as a guitarist and not a vocalist. And so the band made a compromise: Rudy would be the group's lead guitarist and lead vocalist, and Bryan would move to playing drums. Bryan eagerly accepted his change of position and went out and bought a brand new drumset on the day that the group made the decision.

Help Wanted, since collectively having their first practice with all four current members in late August of 2008, have completed their first album "Out in The Desert" and hope to have their second, more progressive effort, "Hark! The Age of Fish" completed by the end of March. The band is currently touring in support of their first album.
