Helia project starts in the summer of 2007 from the passion for new and sperimental sounds of Jackie (member of Violent Sutura, ex On Fall), RaeL (ex singer of the underground screamo band I m not myself today), Commo (ex guitarist of Ibelievein) and Dano (In Deepest Decline s ex bass player). The first Helia s release Delorean is an EP that takes inspiration from trance music and screamo hc. Memory Flash, the first single uploaded on MySpace has a great success with more than 60 000 plays. In February 2008 Ricky joined Helia on drums. With this line up the band plays live around Italy in the Summer '08 and has a great success. In August '08 the band enter in studio in Rome to record 2 new tracks, "Straight To North East Lights" and "Push it!" (feat. Becko from Hopes Die Last). In April '09 the band signs with Wynona Records and enter in studio to record the first full lenght: it's "Shivers", that will be out worldwide on September 16th.
