Members: J. Traynor, B. Henderson
Some time in late 2003, two twisted minds, clouded in darkness, devised a plan for a musical vision quest into the depths of the ancient past. Thus, Minas Tirith was born. After one unreleased demo, entitled "Black Flames", Minas Tirith became Helcaraxë -- named for the ice plains of JRR Tolkien's Silmarillion -- one of the most important books in history. The reality of Helcaraxë moved into a new dimension, when in the burning months of 2005, J. Traynor and B. Henderson sequestered themselves in a basement and wrote the forthcoming album, "Triumph and Revenge", dedicated to the Norse gods.
