Haylstorm is one of the hottest and so-called newest DJs up and coming today here in the United States and abroad in Europe and the UK. Little do people and his fans know Haylstorm has been around since the late 1990s, early 2000s.
Emory, Haylstorms real name, is the true artist out of his two personas. Recently in an interview when asked why he keeps his solo artist and DJ persona apart he said, "Emory is the art. Emory is the whole big picture, the lights, photographs, vocals, recording, the dancing and choreography, the concerts as well as the celebrity and paparazzi. Emory is the public persona, being, and businessman. Haylstorm is my way of focusing on the music and being able to not be in the spotlight so to speak, it is about the music. I have a lot more artistic and personal freedom with my music and art in general when I am not so in charge, being the business/career man and having to meet the expectations of the record industry or my audience. I suppose it is my way or letting the music itself be the star and the focus and letting me enjoy it from behind the scenes rather then being me enjoying it while being the scene."

Whatever it is Haylstorm is doing it is most certainly working. Haylstorm has also managed to catch the eye of some of the biggest artists in the music industry and has left a very lasting impression. Doing remixes for Britney Spears, Madonna and mega mixes for Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Michael Jackson. An album with selected remixes, show/tour mixes and mega mixes is currently in talks and planning.

Haylstorm also currently has six albums in postproduction that he has recorded since early 2000 to today. He has two more in mid-production, which is part of his three album series, Before Dawn.

"I am really excited, overjoyed yet extremely nervous for my albums to be completely done, finally after all these years and to get the reaction from my fans and of course friends, family and colleagues." Haylstorm said when asked how he feels about his work about to be complete and released. "My albums all do not have one feel or sound to them. I truly do not want to give their essences a way yet. I want people to discover them and go on their own journey with my music and my new albums. I sing very little if at all on these albums. I have to leave that to my Celebrity persona. You get to hear and sense a more personal side of my music ability and appreciation with these albums."

The new albums vary in sound, feel and genre. "I go from Dance, Electronica/Dance, Electronic, House, Ok and a little Pop. I couldn't help it. It is in me, what can I say!!! Those are the main genres I cover. I used a lot of real Latin beats and instruments in one album and a lot of real middle eastern and world instrument with Hip-Hop beats I created in another album. These albums are certainly not just synth-generated works. I can promise you and my fans you will be surprised, happy and even maybe a little breathless when you hear all the new material. That is all I am saying about the new work right now. I am so excited. You will keep me talking and I will divulge too much. STOP IT!!! I know what you are trying to do. All I can say is ...Keep updated on me, my performance and the album releases and GO BUY THEM!!!"

As for now Haylstorm is taking a break from spinning and has no club spinning dates due to such a busy schedule and working with Britney Spears on her new album but he promises to return to the small intimate venues and clubs. Haylstorm says right now he is finishing his DJ persona albums and then will be heading into the studios to record not one but two new vocal albums under is main persona of Emory. One album is a Pop/Dance/Club album and the other more along the lines of Rock, Pop/Rock. While doing that he will be working on music videos and shows for the vocal albums. As if that is not enough this DJ and media mogul is restructuring his company, Haylstorm Entertainment, Management & Productions and is currently working on designs and launching his fashion and design company and the label itself, Je Veux Designs.
