Members: Lewis (drums), Zach (bass), Walker (lead guitar, back-up vocals), and The Deej (lead vocals, rhythm guitar)

It all began in the sultry summer of 2004, when a lowly blonde by the name of Deej joined the stellar Subway sandwich team of Zach and Walker. Immediately, they noticed they all were in love with George Michael, but they thought his style was a little outdated so they started a pop punk/emo band.

With Zach on his sensual bass, Walker scorching his guitar, and Deejs soaring tenor range, the trio realized they were only a drummer away from band bliss.

Whats this? exclaimed Walker, I forgot, my 15-year old brother, Lewis, just happens to be the best drummer since they were invented by God in 1634!

And so, this nameless quartet ventured into the Madison music scene, only to find that a band had to have a title in order to play shows...

With band names like I Hate Walker and Jewish Christmas Carols circulating in a Subway brainstorming session, the boys were met by a divine intervention from a seven foot, defensive end for the Badgers. You guys should go with Harlem, the behemoth suggested. Thus, a Midwest pop punk band full of crackers was deemed HARLEM.
