In July of 2005 four young friends have decided to start a stoner rock/metal band and began to look for a vocalist. Very soon vocalist Donatas Gailiuis joined the group. A little later one of the guitarists left the band because of the discord. And then again there was four of them: Donatas Gailiuis (vocal), Marius Palivonas (guitar), Martynas Samuleviius (bass guitar) and Vaidotas Segenis (drums).
The name Graveyard was chosen by design. Everything they perform has a deep-drawn meaning for them and is inalterable and sacred. By staying loyal to Stoner Rock they still dont opt out hard rock, heavy metal and even elements of blues.
At first they hardly worked upon their repertoire and started performing only in 2006. They made their debut in an annual festival of young bands New Blood 2006. Later they appeared in Euro Rock 2006 where they held a prize and got a privilege to participate in Baltic new music chart show in Riga.
Soon Graveyard went to Daugpilis to attend a Baltic summer reaction where they engaged public in Stoner Rock and made a healthy impression also attaining beneficial commentary.
Doubtless the biggest success for them was to appear in a yearly festival of heavy music The nights of Rock where they absolutely became the biggest discovery of the year.
In the end of the summer of 2006 Graveyard held a concert to commemorate their one year anniversary and went to Latvia where they shot their firs video for the song House of pain which sent ripples through the public.
Independent of their short being they played many concerts and Graveyard was evaluated as the band that accomplished the most and made the biggest progress in 2006. They also got an invitation to take part in the Mill of the demons festival.
